In THP International School our mission is to embrace students and families who have not found their place in conventional schools and help them achieve a high performance education with awareness of the needs of others and respect for others and the planet in order to have a positive impact on the world.
1. WE ARE A FAMILY
We are real, we make mistakes, we apologise, we fight, we give chances, we make noise, we are patient and we respect each other. THP International School is a home, a huge corner that you can always come to.
2. WE ARE ALL STUDENTS
Learning on a daily basis is something we must not forget, at THP International School we all have this mentality. It is not only the students who have to learn something, after all an educational institution is not only about teaching.
3. WE CREATE SECOND OPPORTUNITIES
As we ALL fail, we believe that it doesn’t matter if you have ever made a mistake. What matters is how we deal with the challenges that come our way. Sometimes failing is the best way to learn to excel.
4. WE PREPARE STUDENTS TO SOLVE FUTURE CHALLENGES
The future is always uncertain and even more so in our times of continuous evolution. Preparing our students to face any difficulty is a duty we have. A prepared student is not only the one who passes his exams.
5. WE DEVELOP LEARNING IN DIFFERENT EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS
There is not one way to learn a lesson but a thousand ways to learn it, each one adapted to the way of learning, the experience, the experiences and the moment in which the student is. Don’t be fooled by other schools, the best way to learn doesn’t have to be sitting and listening to a tutor.
If the world is changing, why hasn't education changed?
Our school in Madrid intends to tailor the curriculum as far as possible. The IB for us represents the idea that a student can develop a wide range of human capabilities and go beyond intellectual development and academic success. This translates into a set of learning outcomes – learning outcomes for the 21st century that converge with the idea of what a 21st century learner should be.

In our case, as a young school with a tradition of innovation, we have learned that the implementation of a single, unchangeable discourse generates a lot of rigidity and frustration in the teams. Most of our students do not fit into a classical educational methodology and we must meet their needs in order to accompany them throughout their studies. Therefore, inclusion and respect for everyone’s vision must be shown from the management to our students.
